Hats Off To Baking Soda

This blog post is a tribute to the most helpful household product –  baking soda. I always use baking soda in my numerous  chores, but I never really gave much importance and attention to this thing until I read Arianne Cohen’s blog at www.shelterrific.com. Arianne gives her thanks to baking soda for helping her accomplish her cleaning tasks. After reading that article, I realized the countless uses of this leavening agent.

I use baking soda to wash smelly fabrics, shoes, and carpets in our pad. When I go to our kitchen, I also do fruit washing and microwave cleaning with baking soda. Then, when I reach the bathroom, I still use the mighty baking soda to clean our disgusting shower curtain and to scrub our tiles.

But, that’s not all! I once used baking soda to aid me clean the refrigerator and to remove the ugly smell in the drain. In addition to this, I remember that my mom treated my aching tummy and killed the itchy feeling caused by insect bites and rashes using a baking soda. Isn’t that fascinating? The ultra-fine powder that we always see around the house is the most helpful compound to help us in keeping our house clean. I am pretty amazed, and now I just have to say this: Thanks, baking soda!
